A frequent occurrence at poker tables is that someone will be making a ridiculous call to hit out for a big pot and they might justify their approach by telling they made it by intuition. Intuitive play is different from poker bluffs and most people mess up telling that they were trying poker bluffs by making absurd intuitive plays. It is true that poker bluffs are made with a bit of intuition, but it is made with intuition plus math, which many people fail to do.

How to bluff is the constantly ringing question in the poker world. Unless you know how to bluff and how to break through bluffs you will not have any edge in poker. In most of the limit betting games many people in the table tend to be heads up until the showdown, this is because the bets are limited and once they have come until turn or river, they do not mind spending some extra in the showdown.

Bluffing in poker should be made after a careful the cards, the players in general, the players with special focus to a particular opponent, studying the betting pattern, studying the betting pace in the table, the range at which the pot is getting built in the table, and finally the risk factor involved in bluffing with the kind of hand that you hold versus how efficiently you will be able to make a bluff.
