An important weakness in the high Omaha poker games of many starting players is not folding after the flop while the only expectation they have is a split pot or a runner-runner (that is, requiring the turn and river cards to succeed, which is a statistically weak place) to create their hand. In Omaha, subsequent to the flop, your hand is well clear. You observe 7 out of the 9 cards you will employ approximately 80 percent. In difference, subsequent to the flop in Hold'em you have observed just 5 of 7 cards, which is simply over 70 percent. Omaha/8 tends to be a lot more clear-cut and mathematical game than Hold'em. For this cause, Omaha/8 tends to have fewer short-term variations (fortune) than Hold'em. Lots of players enjoy playing Omaha/8 more than Hold'em for the reason that of the reduced variation. The difficulty is it can occasionally be hard to locate a good Omaha/8 game, but there never looks to be a lack of Hold'em games.

The Cards Speak rule applies in Omaha poker. If a player wrongly verbally declares a wrong denomination of a hand, it does not subject what the player says. The casino dealer should read what the real denomination of a player's hand is.
