Poker bluffs comes with watching poker shows and also by watching opponents playing in the games you are involved with playing.  Basic rail birding can equip one in picking up on lot of tricks that many other players do employ in their bluffing.  It is also possible to learn how not to make poker bluffs by the mistakes they keep making in employing bluffs in the wrong time.

For those that are learning poker bluffs from watching TV do have warning about watching poker on TV.  It should be understandable that most TV poker is tournament pokers that are being relayed in the TV is the final tables.  The final tables of any tournament is usually occupied by high leveled players and the style of poker playing and poker bluffs in such shows has absolutely nothing to do with how one should play in a cash game.  Never copy poker bluffs exactly, they are never going to work by any means.

Many poker bluffs that are televised in poker shows are really a lot of fun to watch, but we not to remind ourselves time and again that these are played by world class players and the competitors in such tables are equal competition tables where the players of the same level play with each other.  The way equal skilled opponents play with poker bluffs is lot different from a basic beginner bluffing.  Beginner bluffs get cracked more often than not.  There is a right stage to start bluffing.  The best things that one can master from televised shows about bluffs is situations that get answers from bluffing and situations that do not provide with appropriate answers from bluffing.

It might be difficult to discuss the efficiency of bluffs with opponents, but one can always discuss with friends who played opponents in a poker table about what they felt about a particular bluff when they really did not know that it was an intentional bluffing. Skills in poker bluffs come with experience and a chronic chain of winning and losing bluffs; every time we sit at a poker table one is given the opportunity to advance the game. Poker bluffs are not the only ways to advance the plays either.  Poker bluffs are advantageous when applied in the right place and are wrong and worse moves when made in the wrong place. Do not bluff always, there are millions of winning made by players without making bluffs.  Bluffs is optional it is not a necessity.
