Sometimes that stakes that are being played can be dramatically high due to aggression or perhaps due to poker bluffs used by the players that are in the table. In some cases poker bluffs are made by those that surely have believed that they did have a winning hand, when truly, the opponent was slow playing and misleading with an even better hand! When you tried to slow play them, they were in turn slow playing you! This can be kind of tricky.  All such situations are common in poker bluffs.

There are many types of poker bluffs that you will learn with experience.  Deciding the kind of poker bluffs that will bring out the kind of response that one does need from the opponent is going to be difficult unless the bluffing player has knowledge of all the players at the table, they playing style and the kind of reaction they might give for specific hands from a particular table image.  The best part of poker bluffs is to not let others know that you are bluffing.  In cases where you can musk you better much your worse hands with which you made all the poker bluffs to avoid being caught bluffing and getting labeled a bluffer.

A frequent occurrence at poker tables is that someone will be making a ridiculous call to hit out for a big pot and they might justify their approach by telling they made it by intuition.  Intuitive play is different from poker bluffs and most people mess up telling that they were trying poker bluffs by making absurd intuitive plays.  It is true that poker bluffs are made with a bit of intuition, but it is made with intuition plus math, which many people fail to do.
